Deleting Your Data

1. How to ask

If you have messaged us on Instagram, booked with us or signed up for our email updates, you can ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you. Use whichever is easier:

• Email — write to info@oxso.co.uk with the subject “Delete my data”.
• Instagram — send a direct message to @oxfordsocial_mcr saying “Delete my data”.

To help us find everything, tell us your Instagram username if you messaged us there, and the name, email address or phone number you used for any booking. We may ask a question to check that the request really comes from you. It is free, and we will not ask you why.

2. What we delete

Within one month of your request we will delete:

• your Instagram messages to and from us, and your Instagram username, profile name and account ID, from our enquiries system;
• our notes and draft replies about your enquiries;
• your bookings, including their entries in our booking calendar;
• your email address from our mailing list.

We will also delete the conversation from our own Instagram inbox. When it is done, we will confirm it the same way you contacted us.

3. What we may have to keep

Sometimes the law requires us to keep something, for example a record we need for tax and accounting, or details we need to deal with a complaint or a legal claim. If so, we keep only that, for no longer than we must, and we will tell you what we kept and why.

If you were on our mailing list, we may keep your email address on a suppression list so that we never email you again by mistake. Tell us if you would rather we deleted that too.

4. Your Instagram account

Deleting your data from our systems does not delete anything from your own Instagram account. Your copy of our conversation stays in your Instagram app until you delete it there, and the data Instagram itself holds is covered by Meta’s privacy policy.
